I am proud to list for immediate sale N432DM, my 1972 Bellanca Super Viking, based at KBMC in Brigham City, UT with complete records from first flight in December 1971 through today.

N432DM is equipped with a 300-HP IO-520-K spinning a recently overhauled Hartzell 3-blade constant speed propeller.  This complex, high-performance aircraft equipped with Gami injectors and a 1,053-pound useful load is a gem IFR cross-country flying machine.  Flight plan a conservative 150kts at 12.5 gph lean-of-peak and with the 92-gallon fuel capacity enjoy an incredible 1,000+nm range.

The instrument panel was recently upgraded to include a Garmin GNX-375 (GPS navigator and ADS-B in/out transponder), an Electronics International CGR-30P (Digital Engine Monitor), a Garmin G5 (DG/HSI w/ GPS navigator interface & backup ADI functionality), a PS Engineering audio controller/intercom, an Electronics International USB-6A (USB Smart Charger), and a Mid-Continent Digital Clock w/ two USB charging ports.  This setup permits seamless transfer of flight plans from iPad to the GNX-375 (via Connext) and, with a GAD-29B in the system, allows the Century IIB autopilot to fly the route.  Along with the dual NAV/COMM KX-155 radios feeding a NSD-360A slaved HSI for VOR/ILS approaches, the result is a highly capable IFR platform.

Other great features include a Surefly electronic ignition (replaced right magneto), an extended aft baggage ‘ski tube’, a co-pilot PTT, and an altitude compensating oxygen system.

N432DM’s paint was redone in 2007 and, due to always being hangared, still looks spectacular. The interior is original and presents well.

Included with the sale there are numerous other items and accessories including a custom set of aircraft jacks.  For an asking price offer, I will also include a freshly overhauled magneto (October 2024) kept as a spare for the remaining left magneto after the Surefly installation on the right.

Over the past few years N432DM has flawlessly served our family as we’ve flown from our home base in Utah all over the US: Ohio, Tennessee, California, Arizona, Montana, North/South Dakota.  However, our family priorities have recently shifted and the resulting limited flying opportunities necessitate this sale.

On the next pages you'll find a detailed spec sheet and links to the photo gallery, complete logbooks, 337's, and other documentation. Please email, text, PM, or call anytime to discuss N432DM.  Thank you!

-Alex

  • buyer gets to choose overhaul specifics: engine shop, cylinders, accessories, etc.
  • small list of items justify an engine tear down/overhaul:
    • making metal and can’t find/repair the source
    • case crack disallowed by AD
  • fly for several more years; perhaps until when FAA stops extending Global AMOC on SAP cylinders
  • best way to buy an airplane is with an engine at or beyond TBO; discounted price due to engine at core value
